It wasn't ended anyway, just suspended indefinitely.
Why not in 2 weeks?!
If no new players are infected until then, play on, in empty arena's if you will.
30 days should be plenty enough.
Would be bad for the NBA to have a year of no champion.
Just erased. All the work for nothing.

Well they have to finalize the season standings some type of way because college draft recruits aren't going to sit out a year waiting for the previous NBA season to wrap up
and NBA teams won't be allowed to draft/rebuild their teams prior to finishing off this season

Lifting early would not inspire customer confidence, and would reek of greed above humanity...
...which is the last thing NBA owners need more of in the mind of the public right now.
As for this season, I think low key many players are welcoming a long break, so they can approach the playoff runs with full energy and health.

Why not finish this season, whenever it is time to play again, no matter when? Its not like we're just 3 games in.
We're almost there.
It's just finishing touches now.
Can't skip or erase or cancel anything.
