Pippen was the leader of that team

Dominant two-way player and facilitator ... no Pippen no rings.

Pippen was great in this game. The two most dynamic duo of perimeter players ever! The dobbermans!

The Bulls' edge in athleticism was obvious even before Game 1, but as the series progressed, it became ever more pronounced.

32 year old Magic in his 9th NBA Finals in 12 seasons was clearly no match to the young colt, hungry for his first.

Series would've been more competitive with Coop and a healthy James Worthy. No doubt imo. Big Game had a bum ankle but injuries are part of the sport, so is what it is. Coop though? He was retired but if LA had a version that was even two years removed? Man. LA needed more of their firepower to contain peak Mike and prime Scottie.

How much did Pippen guard Magic in this game and how many minutes total for the series?

Here's the facts:

Jordan guarded Magic 3 times as much as Pippen in that series, while doubling him in assists and scoring 10 more ppg

The most Lebron ever scored more than his sidekick in a Finals win was 5, and he never guarded Dirk, Duncan or Curry as the primary defender like MJ did Magic.. So MJ carried a bigger individual load on both ends in that series than Lebron ever has while winning a title.

Does anyone dispute these facts and which ones specifically?

Bulls also put MJ on Divac in short stretches and he got torched. Would have never happened to LeBron, he guards every position unlike MJ.

Apparently, getting torched during spot-duty doesn't impact a series as much as being the primary defender on the opponent's best player, while scoring 10 more than your sidekick and nearly doubling them in assists - aka carry-job, something Lebron has never done because he always needed an equal usage and scoring teammate and closer to win a Finals.

Furthermore, Lebron guards bigs about as often as MJ (rarely), but gets torched when he does by guys like an old David West..

that's easy to do when you fouled out in regulation of the pivotal Game 3, so MJ had to carry the OT, and then disappeared in Game 4.

And notice how Pippen's only good scoring game occured when he didn't guard Magic at all - MJ guarded Magic for the entirety of Game 5.

A defender that isn't worn down is fresher with more capacity to go off offensively - Pippen showed it here as he was carried defensively by MJ, and the Spurs showed it as a team in the 14' Finals against the easy-to-defend/solved Lebron-ball (3/9-ball)

There's never been a series where a 2nd option was carried more - MJ mostly guarded Magic and outscored Pippen by nearly twice as much as Lebron ever outscored his sidekick (while winning a Finals).

Imagine MJ playing this kind of defense on a big like Gasol, cause I can't.

lebron has gotten absolutely duked on by great positional adversaries in his career.

Durant and kawhi have made a mockery of his defense.

It's better to be great at guarding half the positions than mediocre at guarding them all.

He defended Magic for the majority of game 2 and held him to the worst game of his career whilst getting 20/10 on offense

Pippen was the MVP of both games 2 & 5 that series, GOAT second option

MJ hit a record 13 shots in a row to fuel the entire run, culminating in the switch-hands shot - he was the MVP in Game 2 despite Pippen guarding Magic

and you're forgetting that MJ is supposed to have a bigger teammate guard Magic and would have a forward available to guard Magic regardless of what team he is on - Pippen did nothing more than the normal duty of any forward vs Magic (who was always guarded by forwards)... So MJ did Pippen a solid by offering to guard Magic for most of the series, thus allowing Pippen to rest up for offense like he did in Game 5 (and like the 14' Spurs did as a team vs the solved/easy-to-guard Bron-ball)
