No all-time great consistently played that badly - only MJ had to win with that crap
And defense is irrelevant because the Bulls only had the #7 defense during the 1st three-peat, including a worse defense than every conference finals and Finals opponent (except the Suns' #9 defense)

are you OK?
kyle lowry when he is/was called a trash bro
we havent had a player that size with that heart since iverson. lowry might lack the beautiful 1on1 game that AI had but hey there's nothing nicer than a clutch shot and fatboy has had A LOT of those:

last game we just had last he daggered the jazz in the clutch and IT JUST ISNT POSSIBLE to have a sexier play than that:

I generally think Ray Allen is a little underrated. Yes, he's one of the greatest shooters of all time, but I hope people remember that he could actually ball back in his Milwaukee/Seattle days.

lowry had some of the worst playoff series ever when the raptors were good.
he deserved that title 100%, ive never seen a player fold from regular season to playoffs more than pre-kawhi lowry.

his problem was that he was small, and our team was heavily perimeter dependent - thats a BAD BAD combo. :oldlol:
I hate to say it but size matters. if lowry had literally one extra inch in height - two inches is overkill - he would've been a MUCH better player. 6 feet in shoes doesnt cut it in the big leagues. :oldlol:
there was a shot that draymond got a finger on last year that could've been a series-winning dagger if lowry had that extra inch in reach....

i mean dude, im not trying to beat a dead horse but there ve been plenty of short players to do well.
John stockton or chris paul have nothing physically kyle lowry doesnt, and they still ball when it counted.
Lowrys issue in the trash bros era was mental, theres never been a player to fall off harder that ive seen besides maybe derozan who was admittedly one dimensional.

I like the Tony Parker mention. From 2007 up until 2014ish, Tony had a lot of great playoff moments. That spin to the cup he frequently did was unguardable. I remember Chuck (Barkley) always telling players to knock him on his ass :oldlol:
Gonna throw in Iverson too. I thought he was overrated years ago but to me he's slept on now. Incredible 1-on-1 scorer with a ton of skill.

yeah. I cant argue, it was definitely ugly at times. team had a lot of flaws - having lowry and demar chuck the last shot is NOT a recipe for success.
I know I'm alone on this but I will make sure to remember the trash bros era very fondly. :oldlol:
<3 you derozan keep doing your thing bro!
they try to compare others to the trash bros but at least the trash bros had SWAGGER - we cant understate that. :applause:

Rick Barry would be my pick. He was probably the best small forward to play the game until Larry Bird came along. Yes I think he was better than Dr. J.

Tim Duncan. he should be up there with Kobe. but he wasn't media friendly so he's usually forgotten.
Bill Laimbeer. people only remember him for his dirty plays, but he was a legit big man, daily double double machine that could still shoot (a bit rarer in that era). even Rodman said the same. he was a good center but that was forgotten because people only looked at his antics

In terms of this most recent retiring generation,
Vince Carter
He will be known for his dunking ability and all his other accolades are just shadowed by that

What other accolades would he be known for? He has 2 All-NBA selections from 20 years ago, never came close to an MVP, never did anything the playoffs, what else would you expect him to be remembered for besides his iconic dunks?

Rick Barry was a good pick.
Kevin McHale is my pick -- dominant, versatile two-way player. Unstoppable inside, skilled from the perimeter. Elite shotblocker, and an underrated perimeter defender. Guarded small forwards while Larry covered PF's.
He was good enough to finish 4th in the MVP when Larry, Magic and Mike were playing awesome.
Doesn't get talked about enough because he was 2nd fiddle to Larry. He would have been really good on his own team.
He was every bit as good as Chuck and Malone. Had them both beat on defense, handily.
