“It was never my intention to keep necessary medical supplies out of the hands of people who needed them,” he said, crying. “That’s not who I am as a person. And all I’ve been told for the last 48 hours is how much of that person I am.”

Was reading about this guy trying to make a profit off this pandemic. Humans are community based. That is how we have survived as a species. Selfish ****s like this guy that capitalism protects today would have been ostracized or worse if he were among our Neolithic ancestors. Nothing takes humanity back to the community mentality more than a crisis

This is not capitalism. This is essentially monopoly which leads to price gouging. It's one of the things capitalism try to prevent and we have specific laws against it.

If we were in the Neolithic, this guy's ability to foresee what was coming and plan for it would have made him the tribe leader. :applause:

I have no problem with people making a little extra money but this guy deserves to get his ass kicked.

I paid $9.99 for Lysol Disinfection spray.

I'll be salty about that forever. I made my own hand sanitizer using aloe vera (the plant), 99% alcohol mixed with virgin coconut oil. Shit is working good.

I don’t care about either political party. It’s just a great story

lmao... and who writes and enforces those laws?Congress and the Federal Trade Commission. Amazon took down all his listings and he couldn't sell.

Your point?

the point is the only thing stopping situations like this from arising, is a government to write and enforce laws against it.

This is A OK in your book.

This is A OK in your book.I can appreciate his entrepreneurial spirit. He recognized the situation before everyone else, planned his move and executed it.

While most people were sitting on their asses waiting for Big Brother to tell them to wash their hands, he drove 1300 miles over 3 days to gather supplies.

There's absolutely nothing to appreciate about this greed driven oppertunist. Capitalism was never intended to operate with immunity to unethical practices.

This guy is a gutless piece of shit who only donated his stash because he was getting deuced on from every crevice on social media.

There's absolutely nothing to appreciate about this greed driven oppertunist. He might have gone overboard but it takes a certain level of intelligence to be an opportunist; to recognize a set of circumstances and exploit them.

This guy is a gutless piece of shit who only donated his stash because he was getting deuced on from every crevice on social media.Gutless indeed. He paid for them and should have kept them, or sold them with a reasonable markup to begin with.

It's how things work with everything else. I don't see anyone complaining, "the only thing stopping massive shoplifting/rape/assault/robbery/drug increase, is a government to write and enforce laws against it."
