I'd love to have seen 'this' guy in 2020.

One of the best bounce back season after major shoulder and knee surgery.

No one expected him to play at that level in Beijing after missing the last 1/3 of the 2008 season. Wade's peak was the 08 Olympics

This was pretty much a continuation from his 07 season pre-shoulder injury when he was doing like 29/8/6.

2005 to 2012 or you can maybe extend it to 2013. Not amazing longevity compared to some other greats obviously but enough of a run to establish himself as a top 20-25 all time GOAT.

Trying to compare that to Roy, who had like 2 elite seasons :lol And was never in the BITW tier like Wade was

not comparing the players, just the injury setbacks. even in his prime Dwade was injured a lot, while still good his absence hurt his teams success

I guarantee he didn't do that move

I've been watching that move for 30 years and still don't know what footwork he did there

Back when D-Wade was watchable. Some period around/just after the Heatles run, he mainly played for whistles.

it's called a pivot slip, known to those who have played organised basketball. but more so poor defense, oakley nearly yeets starks out of bounds trying to keep his footing

This version of Wade is the closest I've seen to a prime MJ.

Yep. 'Prime' MJ slashed alot more than Kobe did, who was more in the vein of 96-98 MJ but used the dribble more creatively to get to his spots mostly for jumpshots. Wade attacked the basket much more like 80's/early 90's MJ.
