They're pretty good for being so thin and top heavy with little bench pressence, it's basically a overachieved rebuild year with all new coach and players. it's possible they address main issues and fill in weak holes during upcoming free agency. if you look at history of Lebron led teams, they almost always peak in their 2nd-3rd year after he changes franchise (2012 Heat, 2016 Cavs). Imagine if they actually get pieces to compliment Davis + Lebron, instead of FA fillers like Rondo/Caldwell-Pope. Lakers with an actual reliable 3rd option is bad for the league, how are they 1 seed with Kyle Kuzma?

Lakers should swoop Otto Porter, he had a dropoff the previous season and injury this year

He's a diamond in the rough on a contender, perfect 3rd-4th option to blossom and turn superstar under Bran ball

Actually it could be the complete opposite. LA area is heavily populated and congested that it may no longer be a desirable location in the event of another epidemic. There's already mass unemployment and homelessness in LA and a large gap between the rich and the poor. Perhaps guys decide to go to the less urban areas as there's not as much activity.

Los Angeles pro athletes don't live in LA's urban sprawl, they stay in gated beach cities like Manhattan, Hermosa and Redondo where the training facilities are conveniently located. Kobe is dead because he lived 45min driving distance to Staples Center in Pelican Ridge south Newport. These locations are plushed out private luxe oceanic views right off the coast, Orange County is rich in them, same up north in Malibu. Even more scenic the south you go, Laguna, Corona Del Mar all the way down until you hit SD and TJ Mexican border

Lakers have a lesser chance to win the title next season.
