Reminds me of those 80s coaches who could barely stand to answer a question. I like a good hateful old coach. But the NBA doesnt. Pop is the only one left off the top of my head.

I love this. He's my new favorite person.

He was dead right on the second video. Dude had deeeeeep position and his guard wasn’t even checking for him. That’s one of the products of AAU. Also....if nobody playing in the post. Bit of both. An 80s guard drops that in there 90% of the time.

sam mitchell was a good coach for us he just had shitty personnel drew a raw deal with a shitty GM in bryan colangelo who didnt know how to put a team together.

its the reason why masai is the GOAT to us, we went from a roster of defensively challenged players mostly euros who were good on offense jose calderon who is a great player in many ways, but is just awful on defense because of poor lateral quickness. colangelo also drafted bargnani which needs no explanation. jonas was a very good pick for us because he was the opposite of bargnani, tough and physical. still, BC had a poor track record in my opinion even though he won an executive of the year for one of the years he was here.

then along comes masai, a guy who's team scouts and drafts nothing but athletic beasts with length, or tough gritty players.

needless to say I dont miss colangelo one bit but Sam still holds it down and gets all the love. he is a calming influence to this day for raps fans, for example when he was doing media for last years playoffs and we were all panicking during the playoffs - the usual, just overreacting to every individual game - but this guy sam mitchell never wavers holding it down for the raps :oldlol:

That was pretty good. I liked the part where he was emphasizing about how you arnt always going to be the guy as you advance up into tougher and tougher competition. He wasn’t being that grumpy in the clip with the reporters, they were legit asking stupid questions and reiterating the same shit over and over. It wasn’t like pop where he will twist anything and everything around and act like it’s ridiculous.

He made a hell of a point to those guys. You can’t expect to play like that if you end up with Paul and Harden. But everyone thinks they are gonna be the star. You can be the star but keep off ball skills because you never know how your career....or even an individual play...might go. Don’t leave yourself dependent on getting the ball to make a difference.
