They already started free agency, no reason to hold back the draft.

It was so painfully obvious too :lol Also, NFL free agency has already been going on since last week, why the hell wouldn't they have the draft too

That isn't necessary so why do it? They can do the draft with a lot of teleconferencing reducing coronavirus risk to whatever it is for a news being broadcast.

It was the only one of the four major sports that was in the offseason, so there's really no need to cancel anything when it can be done in isolation like hateraid said.

I read somewhere they're doing all 7 rounds in 2 days. I'm down with that. Speed drafting.
