LeBron has been molded by crowds and scrutiny and attention and the social media gen

He's thriving in that pressure now

It's made him. He sees a guy with a huge tat of him and he says I hope I can continue inspiring you and puts up 40 with the extra eyes on him.

Kobe courtside? He thrives

The crowd brings it all out for him so I can see why he wouldn't wanna play without it.

He takes the good with the bad now. He lives with "embarrassing" moments such as getting strip blocked by Beverley. Part of the spectacle.

It’s so obvious who’s never played competitive sports before.

Playing in front of a crowd is so much more appeasing than playing a “pickup game”. It adds a completely different level to the game. Lebron is a an attention whore but he’s 100% correct on this one.

If he said he was ok without fans yall would say he’s scared of the pressure of performing in front of people. Dude cant win with yall lol.

Basketball is definitely one of those sports that just can't be played without fans. Something like Tennis and baseball would be alright, though.

He won't play without fans just because he wouldn't hear them shout the mvp chant at him. 😹

God forbid he throws a bone to fans who are sorely missing basketball right now after all the fan resentment players have shown in the past couple of years

he's absolutely right. the fans add a lot to the games.

can you imagine some of the iconic NBA plays in history - for example ray allen hitting that three - WITHOUT the audience's reaction?

would be a damn shame.

While fans give a live basketball added flavor and passion, I do admit I’m curious to see if and when they do resume the season if the first few games will be done without fans in attendance. The TV mics would allow us to hear sounds and trash talk that usually inaudible to us because of crowd ambience. Might be interesting

LeBron just talks so much bullshit, I dont think he even knows what hes saying.

NBA will play on without fans and he will be fine with it.
