Nobody is going to catch Stockton. He averaged a crazy number of assists over so many years. It is more unbreakable than Kareem's points record.

One would still believe our LeGoat would catch him

Impossible. He isn't even 2/3rds of the way there. He could get the all time scoring mark though.

Howcome a slow ass midget White boy working as a milkman full time during the week averaged 50% more APG than LeGoat?

This must be wrong.

Stockton was still averaging like 8 assists on 28mpg at 40, light years after his prime. That's one of those records that's gonna be extremely tough to break. Great volume coupled with insane longevity and durability. 16 out of 19 seasons he played 82 games. :biggums:

Yeah Stockton was a machine. His apg averages during some of those years were staggering.

This depends entirely on how many seasons left he'll be playing in the league. Just better pray that he doesn't end up with a season-ending injury as time passes by.

I don't think anyone's ever going to break Stockton's assists and steals record

I think that rigged scorekeeper only works Chris Paul games now. If Lebron had him he'd cross Stockton's all time total in a year.

Stockton's just way better as a passer. He averaged 5 apg in just 18 mpg as a rookie without Karl Malone & helped them beat Hakeem & Ralph Sampson's Rockets as a 6 seed in '85. His numbers would have been even more astronomical, had Utah given him the reigns from day 1. He didn't get starters' minutes before his 4th season, but averaged 6.9 assists & 1.8 steals in just 21.5 mpg in his first 3 seasons.

That isn't an insult to Lebron. Stockton might be the best passer ever. If not, then he's on the shortlist. It doesn't mean that Lebron isnt a great passer.

LeBron already has the steals record for the PLAYOFFS
