*and then we beat them the next 5 times including a brutal sweep in those playoffs.

I remember this game vividly. Chapman went off and Zo blocked the shit out of MJ. I thought for sure Miami had a chance to beat the Bulls in the playoffs that season. They had none.

I felt good about every series except two: 1993 vs Knicks and 1998 vs Pacers. I thought there was a good chance the Bulls would lose both of those going into the series. I was never more nervous than Game 7 vs Indiana.

I guess you can add 1995 vs Orlando but I really didn't know what to expect that season.

yeah and Bulls were down 0-2 to the Knicks in 93 before winning the title.

Yeah and I was sick after Game 2. I remember there was a long wait until the weekend to play Game 3. Doc Rivers said he thought that long break turned the series around. It was torture for me personally.

About the OP...I remember the Heat only dressed like 8 people. Is this that game? I'll check it out a little later. The Bulls probably looked past this game. Rare lapse for the champs this season.

One of my favorite players ever. Him and Glen Rice are 90s GOATS that still don't get enough recognition.

The knicks also had a good coach in pat riley. Team comes up short of winning the championship though.

it's like a poor mans '09 magic.

I still remember some crazy 35 footer fading away off 1 leg by Chapman... I think he might have been on the Suns. Who else remembers that crazy shot? It was to win a game, if memory is correct.

It was to force an overtime but they lost the game and the series.

1993 Suns, 1996 Magic, and 1998 Jazz gave me pause for concern as well.

1998 vs Pacers was going well until Indiana stole a couple games. Then got nervous. Then figured we might not have any left in the tank at their age.

Then in the next series vs Utah, where they had homeport advantage I was nervous, especially following 7 games with Indiana. Pippen was good to start then quickly went to garbage, and had a re-injured back. Useless in game 6, and wouldn't even be there for a 7th game.

But MJ was the ultimate warrior. Heart of a champ. Will power of a god.

Chapman was a good player in the 1990's.

Chapman was the King of acrobatic/circus three point jump shots. Who was similar in that aspect of his game? He would just jump and contort his body and hit all kinds of crazy three pointers like it was runners, floaters, fadeaways etc.
