I feel like the Lakers current success combined with Covid-12 has help healed ease the mourn of Kobe's farewell
You rarely hear about it anymore, which is crazy because people didn't stop talking about Paul Walker for months
But the lakers' success this year are nothing with the league being currently suspended.

Winning the chip after it resumes may be the greatest sports hurdle, so many burdens to carry. The load

You don't hear about it cause of COVID alone. Lakers having a good regular season means nothing. No one right now really even cares about how good of a season the Lakers were having.
Paul Walker's death was nowhere close to as big of a deal as Kobe's.

Rofl I'd rather see kobe be still inducted into the basketball hof than see lebron lead the lakers to a title but hey, that's just me. 😹

Yup, the main difference is that kobe was a much popular celebrity than paul walker. He was given many tributes worldwide after his unfortunate sudden demise. Needless to say, the news created a lot of shockwaves.
However, it can't be denied that both of them are gone too soon, especially when you consider that both of their ages are similar before their respective fates struck them.

Mainly because celebrities die all the time. Yes, even from time to time, we get a celebrity that dies as young as or even younger than Kobe was.
We've never seen a virus like this that has pretty much shut down the entire world.

Lol, he definitely wasn't to me. I never gave a fck about the Fast & the Furious, so I'm sure that factors into my reaction, but legend? When he was known for being a costar in a bunch of racing movies? Idk. Kobe was a legend, Michael Jackson even with his infamous accusations was a legend. Paul Walker imo, I just don't see it

Fast n Furious has a HUGE fanbase despite being shit films after the first few.
Paul Walker is on the same tier as Sylvester Stallone in Rocky imo, a sub-tier actor in overgrossed hollywood films

theres many avenues to take but off-broadway stage actors are probably the hardest working, generally speaking. at least from what Ive seen. Tough gigs.

Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman do a lot of broadway, same with Daniel Craig and Katie Holmes
Robin Williams pretty much retired from film to do theater up until his death
Vegas is were the 'real' show money is at though

Well actors like those dont have to do the stage work that the off-broadways have to do at times if we are talking about the context of hard-working.
Craig's good. Adam Driver is very good also. I've seen Thurman, Ferris Bueller and a few others on the stage. Much tougher work than the screen but the screen has different challenges anyways. It's like comparing NFL and Arena Football... same craft, different rules.

Reminds me of that movie with Robin Williams, who's wife loses her husband and son. beautiful story that journeys the characters through heavan and hell to find their loved ones in afterlife. Vanessa has had it the hardest by far, maybe the worst things a human can endure is losing the love of your life/child. she's going through both. if they didn't have other children i'm certain she would have strongly contemplated suicide

i was thinking today with all the news of that WWE wrestler who spared his sons death by acting swiftly in the face of a fatal riptide. i wonder if kobe had any finals last desperate attempts to save gigi. i came to the conclusion that as a helicopter passenger your practically powerless, even attempting to jump or bail out would be blades of death
