Kobe had the best regular season of his career
many epic playoff series that year, probably the most competitive season of the 21st century.

2016 has probably been my favorite overall as a fan. Warriors make history and stir up 96 bulls debates all season long, kobes farewell tour and epic last game. And the 2016 finals were legendary.

I bet 1989 was pretty good. I used to take the liberty of immersing myself in playoff footage from the late 1980s; they were bringing the d and everyone had crafted a jump shot, honing their offensive game beyond the efficient driving style.

05/06 was indeed cool for superstars leading their team no help style, but it was probably the worst defensige year in modern era NBA history.
Every bum was scoring.

Prime Chris Paul and Harden were a good test I guess. That was surprising
not that year but during their run overall.
