NBA needs to scale back on regular season games, add another round in the playoffs

Note: NBA has to expand add 2 more teams*. Give more teams the ability to get into the playoffs




5 Rounds, all 16 teams from each conference make the playoffs


1st seed vs 16 seed -- (1st seed/16th) winner vs (8th seed/9th) winner
2nd seed vs 15th seed -- (2nd seed/15th) winner vs (7th seed/10th) winner
3rd seed vs 14th seed -- (3rd seed/ 14th) winner vs (6th seed/11th) winner
4th seed vs 13th seed --- (4th seed/13th) winner vs (5th seed/12th) winner
5th seed vs 12th seed
6th seed vs 11th seed
7th seed vs 10th seed
8th seed vs 9th seed


etc etc

Lottery randomly generated for all except top 4 seeds of each conference. Everybody playoffs = more money, nobody loses/ everybody is a winner era.

Teams will play a max of 35 games and min of 20 to get to the Chip. Bad teams will get better through that valuable playoffs experience and with time they will. Tanking days will be over.

NBA scales back regular season from 82 games to 50.
