Very very few have the discipline for that. Kirk Hinrich used to do a good job on Wade at times off not biting on fakes and throwing him off as he would foul hunt.

Easy to say for jumpshooters, but when you have a guy who’s 3-4 inches taller than you taking you down into the post, if you stay ground bound he just has to turn and flip up a layup, leaving you to look like a complete fool. A good post player is automatic without a solid contest. I used to dread when I was one of the bigger guys on the floor stuck playing inside against guys bigger than me. I never really learned how to defend the post (in my defense, I shouldn’t have had to...Im only 6’2 in shoes)

And as KBlaze mentioned, Hinrich was THE Wade defender because he didn’t fall for the baiting tactics.
