It's funny because if you put JR Smith on current Lakers team he would still be a 3rd option

I wish he does this again if he somehow ends up with the lakers one of these days. Pure comedian.

I was watching game 7 in 2016 the other day, JR hit some HUGE shots to get them back in the game. Warriors were making a run and up 8 and JR hit 2 straight 3s.

OP weren't you a celtics fan? So now you openly root for a Laker? OK.

Yeah his b2b 3's in the 3rd were big time, same with Lebron's in the 4th. Both instances brought Cavs within reach

JR was garbage in 2017 and 2018 though

Adam Silver I admitted that LeBron had one of his worst NBA Finals ever yet you still wont admit that the 2016 Warriors also had choked. The double standard you are setting on LeBron James is real in this.

You also donīt apply your injury excuse to everyone too. Your narratives needs to be consistent.

Lets apply your standard to Steph Curry. As much as you clown on LeBron for having one of the worst Finals meltdown ever lets not forget Steph Curry did too.

To set everything we need a little bit of backstory. Lets start WAY BACK to the end of the 2015 NBA Finals. GSW just eliminated the Cavs to win the title.
They won the title against Cavs who was missing its best 2 starters throughout the series. Iggy won Finals MVP.

GSW won at the expense of LeBronīs legacy.

Now lets sim to the end of the 2015-16 season. GSW just won 73 games with Curry dropping 46 on Memphisīs head. Curry won the Unanimous MVP.

Curry suffers an injury against the Rockets in Game 4. But suddenly all injury concerns dissipated as Steph Curry exploded on the Blazers for 40 points on their heads and posting his highest GmSc in the 2015-16 Playoffs.

Here is a video of that 40 point game. The Greatest Shooter to ever play the game (Im no Curry hater btw)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJrgpJUWRmU

Curry went on to average 25.5 points for the rest of the playoffs and led the Warriors to comeback from a 3-1 series deficit to beat OKC.
At this point, nothing could go wrong, right?

Nope. Infact everything did go wrong. After the series was up 2-1 Curry averaged only 16 points!

GSW would eventually lose Bogut and lose Green for a suspension but it wasnt nothing compared to when Cavs lost their 2 of their starters.

GSW failed to win Game 5 on their home floor and Curry was a negative in plus-minus for the rest of the series.

Curry posted horrendous playoff performances that LeBron would get absolutely slammed for doing so.

Curry shot 8 of 21 in Game 5
Curry shot 8 of 20 in Game 6

And to cap off the Warriors historic season with everything on the line, what Curry did was nothing short of sensational! (sarcastic, there)

Curry shot 6 of 19! Thatīs worse than Game 5 and Game 6!!

Despite Draymond Green greatest performance ever, Curry still couldnt get it done.

Curry ĻchokedĻ in every way possible in Game 7.

However, after his dismal Finals performance he will go on to win multiple titles to secure his place as one of the top 3 PG ever.

Lebron finally learned in 2016 what it was like to win without a 3rd star scorer.

Jordan won the 1997 Finals with the worst 3rd option scoring ever (8.0 on 40% for Kukoc), and the 96' Finals with the worst 2nd option scoring ever (15 on 34% for Pippen)

Jordan also won the 98' Finals with Kukoc at 2nd option (2nd most FG's), while Pippen disappeared for the last 2 games.

The only times MJ faced a 3 star- teams (Celtics, Pistons) he got his ass waxed

The only times MJ faced a 3 star- teams (Celtics, Pistons) he got his ass waxed
Jordan beat the Pistons when their big 3 was 29/27/29 years old (Isiah/Dumars/Rodman), while Lebron beat the Celtics and Spurs big 3's when they were 35/36/33 (KG/Allen/Pierce) and 36/37/32 (Duncan,/Ginobili/Parker)... And he needed an equal-scoring partner, aka best sidekick performance ever, aka best help ever to beat the Warriors

Also, the 89' Cavs had 3 all-stars that year (perennial all-stars) plus 20/5/5 Ron Harper - they were the #1 SRS team and MJ beat them with the #10 SRS team and only 15 on 40% from Pippen.. Compare to 09' Lebron, whose #1 SRS lost to Dwight's #4 SRS despite 18 on 38% from Mo (Cavs also had the #3 defense)

You can’t just use age as a deciding factor. They were noticeably slower and hobbled. They were a shell of themselves

MJ was playing modern day Portland Blazers or Washington Wizards. Just ok teams, nothing special. What was the best team he beat in a Finals?
Nothing impressive, right? He beat tomato cans.
