Take this with a grain of salt because I don't know if it's true, but on the local radio sports show they said if the NBA season/postseason gets cancelled, they would give the championship to whatever team had the best record of since January 1st 2020. Which at this time would be the Lakers. They used to do this in the early pro football back when the Packers won 3 championships in a row back in the 1920s. They never had a playoffs, they ended up giving the championship to whoever had the best record at the end of the season.

I think the Lakers, staying healthy, had the best chances. The had the most consistent team during the season which means quite alot.

In a one and done tourney the Clippers might be favs, but they weren't very convincing and the Bucks aren't special. They're the Rockets East edition. They'll lose against well coached, well rounded teams in the playoffs no matter how they fare in the RS.

Still no guarantee Lebron would've won. Also no guarantee for FMVP if they did.
