Looks like they went with a thicker XBox style grips and curve

the haptic feedback stuff sounds insane and immersive, I wonder what battery life will be with that

USB C too which is great, time to move on from the micro USB

I saw some comps of the DS5 where it was dark blue and the the main 4 buttons on the right were colored. Really hope they make something like that day 1. Hearing rumors this might have 2 back buttons as well? Don't know how that will work

I've never heard of pirating PS4 games, use to do it a lot on PS1/PS2 games, even rip onto dvd discs

But it's easy to crack PS4 accounts and activate your console as the primary account, using their digital games temporarily. But Sony's security is air tight and once the original user contacts them they'll permanently lock out the account to anyone. So it's kind of a lose lose situation for both parties and just shady overall if a lot of games were purchased on that account. Sony won't give hacked accounts back to owners; buying digitally you do not own the license to PS games, buying the hard disc you do.

I just buy PS4 games, they drop in price super quick. $100 now you can snag like 5-6 classic PS4 titles

i've avoided consoles for the last couple of generations just because i didn't wanna shell out the extra cash for the games. i may give in with ps5 though - lots of great exclusive titles i've been curious about. mlb the show, gran turismo, god of war just to name a few.

I don't care about it. I can't do those analogs. The whole button map is trash to me. I grew up first with Playstation. I had PS1, PSP, PS3, PS4. I can't play well on their controller.

XBOX has the best controller and there's not much change needed. While the controller looks more attractive, to say the least, this did not convince me. If anything, it convinced me to stay away from the console because they made no real adjustment. Playing FPS or fighting games suck on it.

The ds controllers of sony's ps consoles looked modern or hi-tech during the time of the original console but when the similar design got carried over to its succeeding next-gen consoles, it started to look a bit outdated. So needless to say, i think some change will do it good.

Seems like they are copy the Xbox One controller. I think it looks good though. I believe Xbox Series X is going to be the better console. Since Halo is a dead franchise Sony will probably have better exclusives again. I just never get a Playstation because I like the Xbox online ecoystem and controller. I've also never had problems playing MKV or other media through Xbox.

I remember numerous times I couldn't steam stuff to my brother PS4 because of they didn't have the right codecs.

2. As far as pads go, Hori’s PS3 fightpad was dope. Saturn’s model 2 also great for its day.
3. GameCube still was perfect for platformers/Nintendo style games.

All the PS's that I've owned were week-1 release models and i've been lucky to never have one melt on me yet, I keep my shit clean though and away from carpets/dust/dog hair.

Same. I had one small issue with my PS where the disk was stuck and I fixed it. My controller kept disconnecting the Bluetooth so I stopped playing. Never had an issue with the Xbox or controller though.

I've been seeing this online but other than the physical curve of the sides, what did they copy? I don't think they look that similar either, but the memes are hilarious. Companies will always copy off one another, like Xbox literally copy pasted the share button from Sony for the their new console. I'm not a huge fan of the curves out wide, but I know I'm a minority. More people than not prefer it that way.

Fighting games have always been better with that dpad. Shooters is another thing.
