- PS4

I would say I had the most fun on my PS2, GOAT Madden games ('04-'06), GTA Vice City & San Andreas, NBA Street Vol 2, NFL Street 1 & 2.

I currently own a PS4, but out of all the systems I've had, I've probably played less games on it.

Atari 2600 - An all time great
ColecoVision - Eh
NES - There's no overstating just how great simplicity in game play can be. This was my favorite console I ever touched
Sega Genesis - Better graphics, inferior game play to NES
Gameboy - Not sure if you count this
Wii - for the social aspect only
PS3 - almost exclusively for blu ray playback

I haven't gamed much with consoles since the NES, really. Once I discovered computer games, console gaming was essentially dead to me.

Wii U (plays all the Wii games in HD)

Still own all of them too. But N64 & GameCube sit pretty much unused, should sell.

Recently went backwards and got a Sega Saturn due to loving X-Men vs. Street Fighter and wanting the arcade perfect port (and not the terrible PlayStation version). Can’t wait until Professor Abrasive’s SATIATOR is released.

Will eventually buy 2021’s Nintendo Switch Pro.
And maybe a PS5 if I can play all my PS3 digital downloads from it.
Would be an even bigger plus if PS5 could play PS2&PS3 discs.

Once I learned how to build gaming PCs that left consoles in the dust, that was that. You end up sacrificing console-exclusive games that you’re interested in but you pays your money and you takes your chances. I have no regrets.

Simular for me. After the ps2 I mainly only did emulation, I preferred the retro games.
Got the ps3 but only to play ps1 and ps2 games. I didn't get the right one that played ps2 games.

I just bought a nintendo switch v2 last week as a spiritual replacement for my old but reliable ps3 and so far, I've been enjoying it.

Shortage due to the pandemic forced its srp to rise up to almost $500 in local gaming stores but i have no regrets in my purchase.

Stadia (if you were to count that as a console)

Just an update to my list. Just recently sold my Stadia Founder's Edition. Ironically I sold it for more than what I bought it for. While I see promise in it, it's not ready yet. Two things hold it back...

One, the higher quality you stream at, the more input lag you have. So I constantly would stay at 1080p versus doing 4K because going 4K made many games not enjoyable and next to unplayable. Many games also stream at 1080 60fps, but when you go 4K they only do 30fps. 60fps is way more enjoyable. They have to to solve the input lag for any streaming service to be successful long-term. Some games it's fine and you can deal with it, but for FPS it's important.

Two, game library. This I think is more easily solvable, but after keeping the service over half a year they added games I just didn't care about. I played Red Dead Redemption 2 most of the time.

...so right now I have no gaming going on at all. It's never been a big part of my life after I turned 19 and moved away from my hometown. But I still like to dabble in it. More than likely I'm going to get a PS5, but not right away. I want a black version of it. While I don't hate the white/black Stormtrooper look, it doesn't go with my entertainment center.

If you count the ones I have had myself and not the ones I bought for my kids then the list is kinda small. My son literally has had every single video game system known to man since he was born in 1993. Of the ones he had I liked the Nintendo 64 the best. That was the last game system I actually played a game on when I would play with him when he was younger. I also played a round of his KOTOR games for PC back in the day.

The ones I have had over the years:
Pong
Atari 2600
NES
PS3 used primarily as a Blue Ray player although my kids played games on it
XBox1 (I won this as a door prize and use it to stream video only so far. It came with some Star Wars game that I have not played)
