The question is, will they even be able to play next year if this season is canceled? Could it be that they just shorten next season and start off where this one ended?

In other words combine 24 months into season.

I don't see why not. We have double-headers in baseball. I don't see why we can't play two games on the same day.

It would be hilarious if they are only able to resume play in March of 2021 and they just pick up where they left off and proceed normally.

season is cancelled. on to the next one, pretty much. thats what Im thinking

a miracle would be a playoffs starting this summer with the results that we have now but it would be a little cringey, continuity-wise
