High praise for Stephen Curry from Jayson Tatum, who says Steph is one of the top 20 best NBA players of all time:

Duh. Try making an argument that he isn't. You'll end up sounding like a moron after the counterarguments. The records point to top 10. Still underrated.

By saying all time if he means in his life time, then I agree.

Curry was the 5th most impactful player of the 2017 and 2018 Warriors behind Durant, Dray, Klay, and Iggy

Greatest shooter of all time. One of the greatest scores of all time. 2 MVPs. 3 rings. You may disagree with Tatum's opinion but it's not a ridiculous one. Even if you're a lebron stanning dumbass you should be capable of understanding that James is just one player. Tatum put Curry in his top 20.

If Curry is top 20 where does that rank barkley and malone? top 30?

It's not an insane statement tbh. What is insane is saying he's top 10 like our friend Stephonit did.

Imagine the alts here trying to convince everyone that their favorite player is the greatest of all time yet he has a losing record in the finals to someone who isn't in the top 10. What crazy inconsistency.

How many All-Star games must he make before you will permit him to have an opinion?

I'm being facetious but the phrasing is obviously unclear and wrong either way. Take another L.

At LEAST fifteen

He's top 15. Guys like wade, Garnett, Dirk, moses, west and more with only 1 ring can't be ranked higher than the engine to an all time great dynasty. Not even close...

Oscar Robertson is considered top 12 and he has one 2nd option ring.

I find that reasonable. tatum is right.

2 MVPs and 3 sidekick rings to iggy and then kd twice- thats definitely a top-20 resume.

I would take curry as a sidekick any day. lebron and curry would be nearly as good a duo as lebron and kyrie.

You’re a moron but I agree. Steph gets severely underrated in GOAT conversations.
KD damaged both of their rankings tbh.

I'm not sure this is high praise. With 2 MVPs and 3 rings, it's natural that you'd be top 20 all time. Compare him to your #10-#20 guy. He's better than at least one of them.

Of course it's not high praise. There are only 10 players in NBA history with multiple MVPs and multiple rings.

One could ignore two of Curry's rings and he'd still have more big accomplishments than Dirk for example.

What does LeBron James have to do with anything? It's hilarious how obsessed you all are that you can't even make a comment on the subject without bringing him up. Pathetic. :oldlol:

The critical posts all have the same agenda. You going after me as a James obsessed poster isn't hilarious though, nothing funny about alcoholism.

Top 20 is selling him short, he's at least top 15. He's not in that 1 ring category like Dirk/KG are, he played at a superstar level for 3 titles and went to 5 straight Finals and is the greatest FT & 3PT shooter in league history with some of the most dominant statistical seasons ever and won B2B MVPs. I think we're at the stage where people are sick of the Warriors & Steph like they were with Shaq & Kobe in '03, but his legacy will grow a lot stronger in a few years.
