At this point, it's not at all surprising. Anyone who has been paying the least bit of attention over the last 4 years should have been able to predict the progression of his comments from day one. As mercurial as he is, he's disturbingly predictable.

Incidentally, he still seems to believe that he has some sort of authoritative standing in regard to what governors choose to do when it comes to easing shutdowns.
