NFL Blitz was revolutionary, the NBA Jam of football and huge arcade hit.

My buddies were all into NCAA over Madden so I usually played that.

Blades of Steel on NES was the go-to hockey

Mario 64 or Mario Kart 64, can’t remember which. I just remember thinking this was the coolest thing I’d ever seen in my life, and when my older cousin let me have one of the controllers I literally felt like I was gonna be a man soon lol

Computer Space. I remember walking into the bowling alley and seeing that cabinet sitting there, and it literally looked like something from the future. The fiberglass was all smooth and curved, no sharp angles anyway. The finish sparkled, especially since the lights of the pinball games on either side were continuously blinking on and off. Check the pictures in the Wikipedia article, and imagine seeing that thing in 1972. I walked in with my full allowance and walked out dead broke.

I loved that game, had it on PS1. The fact that it was an arcade game and it let you beat up players after the play was over was very addictive for me as a kid.

I don't really remember the *first* game that I was introduced to as I was quite young playing on the SNES. The first one I really remember making an impression was Super Mario 64. Probably 7 or 8 years old. Instant video game addiction lol.
