NCAA has a massive problem when it comes to coronavirus. Very real possibility that legitimate pro sports leagues play in empty arenas until we have a vaccine. They would be questionable enough for making guys play through quarantine conditions but they are at least paying the players millions so there's a reasonable justification. College players would be forced to gather to play while state governments are banning gatherings smaller than the roster of whatever team they play for. It's not going to work well and could get ugly with legal battles especially if a player or players get it from teammates or opposing players.

I hope he's ranked high enough to where he has a chance to make it in the NBA. Otherwise he just forfeited his opportunity to better himself academically.

What does the D-League pay? 25/hr or something like that if we assume its 6 months fulltime?

College should be for those that want it. If he wants to play ball he should be able to do that.

Sounds like they're moving in the right direction with this new team and the one in Mexico they will be up to 30 teams. Everyone can have their own farm club and it could be a real minor league not just a couple two way guys but the whole team. Young guys that aren't ready for the NBA to the Gleague instead of taking up minutes and roster spots of a vet on a tanking team and the best players in the NBA.

This is the perfect storm for cementing the gleague as a viable and preferred method towards getting to the NBA. Silver is finally making it worth it to commit to the gleague since you'll get hundreds of thousands of dollars and are even guaranteed a college degree.

I think he's a projected lottery pick.
