View Full Version : If People Are Honest Warriors vs. Nets Next Year Is the Finals We Want
Stephonit

People keep saying they're tired of the same teams in the finals over and over again.
These guys have been in the finals repeatedly. But would we really be sick of this matchup? Or is the drama factor too high to be against it?
If you prefer another finals matchup what is it? Does it match the drama factor? I think deep down you know it wouldn't.

Warriors are old news bud. Nobody wants to see them anymore, all of the FMVPs dipped out.

Lebron AD vs Durant Kyrie would get much better rating.

I can already visualize my dream scenario.
Warriors eliminate the Thunder.
Warriors eliminate the Clippers.
Warriors eliminate the Lakers.
Warriors beat the Nets.
Andrew Wiggins gets the FMVP.
Perfect!

I want a Lebron vs KD finals without the GS Olympians.

Whoever won that matchup resolves alot of arguments concerning Steph and KD. Intriguing for that reason alone.

I cant lie even as a warriors hater ive kind of missed steph and the warriors and id like to see that matchup. That said i still think people would much rather see the lakers vs whoever. Warriors have been more relevant in the last 5 years or so but the lakers are still much bigger and more important than the warriors. Bron is bigger and more polarizing than steph also and its not close.

Ofc the lakers still have a very deep rich history.
That said, celtics vs. lakers once again in the finals would be interesting to watch. And in the future, if ever possible, another cavaliers-warriors rivalry.

Yeah lakers celtics would be nice. Not sure cavs warriors will ever be a thing again. Its not a historical rivalry and people dont really care about Cleveland concerning anything. The desiire to see that will most likely die once steph and bron are done which is probably gonna be soon. Steph is 31 or 32 and bron is 35.

Yup, unfortunately that's the reality. Both of those players will inevitably retire come one day. I was also surprised to find out that curry also came from akron, ohio.
And regarding the cavs-warriors rivalry, well, it still amazes me to this day that no two team has ever done yet what they used to do before; that is, meeting in the finals four times in a row.

This. OP says people are sick of the same teams, then mentions the Warriors.
I guess OP really wants Steph to get an iconic playoff moment.

There are three players, Irving Thompson and Durant, who we have to wonder how good they'll be on return. Irving especially has had a lot of season-ending injuries. Neither team is a conference favorite.
Also the Finals I want to see is Celtics vs. Lakers.

It'd be interesting to see Curry vs KD but let's be honest... none of us (besides Warriors fans) wanna see the GSW in the finals again.
If anything, I'd want to see the Rockets vs Nets. Seeing Harden and Russ go up against KD and Kyrie would be pretty epic

He's not from Cleveland but he was born in Akron. Dell was a basketball player and moving around. Might even have been the same hospital as LeBron. Not certain on that last one.
That's why Warriors fans know that Curry was the first NBA star born in the Cleveland area to lead a team to a win in Cleveland and that he's won more times in Cleveland than any other Cleveland area born star. :lol
The people of Cleveland should acknowledge him as the greatest. :oldlol:

KD vs Curry will be greatness this is the Final we need to see. Give LeBron this season to get his last fmvp and let kd and Curry dance one last time whe the stakes are so big. I want it!

Well i obviously disagree but ill give it up to u on this one sense i didn't know this and its actually kind of crazy
**** outta here. bucks lakers or lakers celtics
clippers v bucks as the absolute worst case acceptable scenario.
the NBA is finished if they allow a trash franchise like the nets back into the finals.
Kd will probably be a role player once he starts playing for the nets.

I really am curious to see how Golden State does next season with everyone back healthy and refocused, as well as whatever they get with their draft pick (Whether it's a rookie or they trade it)
The team should be pretty dangerous. I don't really get why they didn't pull the trigger on getting Covington (Who has been stellar in Houston and their small-ball lineups), he would've fit them perfectly. A much better asset than Wiggins

Wiggins is younger and has more potential. If the Warriors were to trade up for a better player, Wiggins is a more valuable asset.

Any news on what Wiggins is doing during this interregnum?

Better pray that he doesn't get riddled up with recurring injuries throughout his career or else, he would be ruined.

hell yea but beating the clippers is tough sledding.
with the amount of load management kawhi is getting right now, when basketball comes back, he's gonna be a super saiyan level MVP.

You may see the same kind of motivation the 2016 Warriors had coming off the 2015 title, but I don't think you'll get the same results. The league in the last 5 years has caught up especially with no KD there. They'll still be a great team health-permitting.
