He knows it.

Pip did all the dirty work.

Kept the team together.

Hit timely big shots.

Badly needed to accomodate MJ and compensate for some of his style flaws.

Just like how Phil was badly needed to install proper mindset into MJ, make him trust teammates more.

Honestly the subject of pippen is annoying coming from both sides. Bron lovers and Mj haters keep stating the obvious that mj needed help knowing full well every great player needed help to win. This is why bron left Cleveland in the first place.

And Mj lovers are annoying because they dont give pip and mjs other teammates and coaches enough credit for mj's success.

Standard politically-correct speak

What's he supposed to say - "no, Pippen forced me to carry a ridiculous goat scoring load and I still had to get equal assists and more dpoy votes"

MJ is obviously going to be on record saying nice things about Pippen and all his teammates

And this comment is exactly the kind of vaguery that someone would say

It was like living in the twilight zone when someone (can't remember who) in the episode just confidently stated that Scottie was the greatest second option of all time. I instantly had flashbacks to this forum, which is quite sad in all honesty.

Anyway, yeah most people who like basketball and wouldn't suck MJ's dick to see him hit a fade away do associate Pippen's name with Jordan. Not exactly shocking.

Mike did a fantastic job of training his sidekick into becoming a version of his own predatory instincts defensively or utilizing that absurd length and athleticism in transition breakaways.

So of course you have to mention his Robin. Pip is the greatest sidekick, second option ever. The game, personality and mental toughness just fit in that regards to perfection. Next best is IDK, Pau Gasol?

This wasn’t a co alpha duo situation like Shaq / Kobe or Wade / LeBron or hell even LeBron / Kyrie or LeBron / AD.

At least Michael Jordan is humble enough, and self-aware to acknowledge the assistance and supplemental support that the best player he ever played with in his career, gave him.

Nothing defensive about it, yal just sound desperate and pathetic bringing agendas into a player speaking highly of his teammate

But of course you’d say my pointing out that idiocy is defensive. Stick to feeling sorry for pornstars. That’s more your speed

So Wade and LeBron was co-alpha, but LeBron won a title while Wade averaged 16/5/5 in the playoffs? Meanwhile, Scottie had years of 23/8/5, 20/9/7, and 20/7/6 in the playoffs while winning titles with MJ.

Try that one again, coach.

Whenever they speak Jordan, they should speak Pippen.

Dwyane Wade is better than Scottie Pippen ever was LOL are you kidding me?

He purposely had to taylor back his MVP caliber alpha game and franchise cornerstone status to accommodate LeBron’s ball dominating style and mental fragility.

The second LeBron left, Dwyane went back up to over 20 points per game. At an even more advanced age, with a litany of nagging injuries from his playing style.

That same 2013 Dwyane Wade literally won an entire game for the Heat on the road in the Finals.

Were his numbers worse after he injured himself following their regular season winning streak? Of course. But given how much talent Miami had compared to their competition in the Eastern conference, his averages didn’t need to be greater. They played trash and cupcakes on the way to the finals year after year following 2011.

So you're saying that the Heat planned on going to a game 7 in B2B ECF? It was better to go 7gms in a series than it was for Wade to have highers averages across the board? It was better that Bosh missed 9 straight postseason games in 2012 in order for series' to go longer??

Poor coach...... such a giant dope.

It's only because his stans have spent 30 years saying it was all MJ, Pippen sucked, etc.

The Samurai Swish post makes no sense. So Wade is the "alpha" but has to tailor his game to defer to another player? "Alpha", "beta", "Batman", "Robin". These terms don't make sense in pro sports.

LeBron missed a lot of games in Miami as did Shaq. Miami's record consistently sucked in those games. When Wade was out but Shaq or LeBron played...their record consistently was the same as whatever they did in that season as a whole. When Pippen missed time, his teams consistently did worse in his career.

Wade's ppg went up a whole 1.5 ppg and his percentages dropped 6.5 percent from the year Bron was there to the very next he wasn't. He had to take 3.5 more shots a game just to average that extra point without LeBron. Wade was a shell of himself from 2012 and beyond regardless of who he played with. He was never "co-alpha" in any of their title wins.

So WTF are you talking about, coach?

RRR3
04-21-2020, 07:20 PM
I like how Coach leaves out the fact that Wade's efficiency tanked once LeBron left. From 58.8 TS% in 2014 to 53.4 TS% and then 51.7% in 2015-16. All his advanced stats went down too. But in Coach's pea-brained mind, he was better without LeBron because he scored a couple more PPGZ

LOL at Kyrie being co alphas with LeBron. Permaban worthy.
