If he wasn’t such a narcissistic fat turd.

Make amends and resign PJ.

Sign Pip for a two year extension following the last dance 1997-1998 season. Win that 1999 ring easily over a green unimpressive San Antonio team. Then complete that trade for Tracy McGrady that was contemplated that season before Mike stepped in and saved his ass.

Pippen is a complimentary piece to young superstar Vince Carter in Toronto.

Bulls get a future superstar under MJ’s tutelage in McGrady. A way better and more talented version of Scottie straight out of HS. And by the 1999-2000 season is a full fledged superstar.

Bulls go on to compete in 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003 for more rings.

Highly doubt Pippen is accepting anything that isn't long-term and at least close to the max. And they should've given it to him if it meant keeping the team together. Yes, we know he was a shell of himself at that point, but we also know the Bulls were a garbage team for a long time after that. Even with him as a shell, they were still going to be a contender.

And Jordan was loyal to Pippen and didn't want change. I highly doubt he's okay with that trade even if it would've been a great trade for the Bulls. Seems like he'd rather go down with the ship.

To be fair, Krause was disrespected by MJ, Scottie and Phil regularly. Phil basically organized a coup against Krause by banning him from the bus and encouraging the players to bond together against him. He passive-aggressively encouraged the disrespect and then tried to play peacemaker when it got out of hand. Nobody is innocent here. And Krause was an integral piece to the Bulls success.

Think about this... Phil somehow pushed Jerry West away from the Lakers. He played the same game except instead of turning the players against Jerry he caused a rift within management.

Reinsdorf is as much to blame as Krause. He could have nixed the breakup and signed them all for another year. Why you don't milk that cow and all the money that comes with it to it's conclusion is an all-time mystery. Looking at his expressions during the documentary, I think he realizes it.

Unexpected real take.

He’s more to blame. It’s absurd that he let this go on and didn’t fire Krause.
