Who was hated more after their moves? Who was a better villain? Who did you hate more?

KD with his burner accounts adopted the heel role well. I always got the impression Lebron wasnt comfortable at first being the villain, but KD ran with that shit.

this is not even a comparison. the heat were being talked about by people that dont even watch sports.

the energy and hate in cleveland for lebron's return is probably something we will never see again.

LeBron was more hated like an actual heel.

KD's move was more "What the f*ck is this shit?"

I don't think either succeeded in the villain role.

I think those burner accounts didnt help him in that role. Both him and Lebron care about their image way too much to be a comfortable villain. In future I can see Zion doing something like that.

I actually went the nice route because in reality its

lebron - 3
KG - 0

I think finals MVPs are important.

I don't think I've honestly seen a athlete more universally disliked, for strictly basketball related things, than LeBron when we went to Miami. The entire country turned on that dude, he became the most hated man in Cleveland, and the Heat were honestly the most disliked team I've ever seen outside of maybe the '07 Pats

Durant honestly didn't get even close to the same criticism when he went to the Warriors. The difference though is after LeBron's titles, people cooled off with the hate, while Durant still gets shit for his move to the Warriors lol

Basketball competition wise Durants move was way worse. But Lebrons personality, fame and comparisons were so big that he would have gotten criticism for doing anything but staying in Cleveland.

It was doing the Decision followed by the welcome party the next day that truly set everything in motion. Honestly, if he had signed with Miami normally, had no television special, if they don't have the celebratory introduction, I think the hate would've been substantially less. He would've definitely still gotten some criticism for joining Wade, Cleveland fans would still be unhappy, but he voluntarily put such an enormous bullseye on his back by doing all that, he brought a lot of the hate on himself

Easily lebron even though kd's was much worse.

Lebron was more original in this aspect. I mean the fact that he did this first in 2010 he was instantly dubbed as a villain. Then 6 years later, kd swallowing his pride was similar, with him being dubbed as a snake.

Lebron was hated more because he's just significantly more popular than KD.

KD is STILL more hated and he accomplished what Lebron did with the Heat in 2 seasons...in a much tougher conference. KD lowkey took a shit on the league's forehead.

His arrival in gs just made the cavaliers-warriors rivalry more lopsided.

Funny how the Cavs made the Warriors look "unbeatable" while the Rockets pushed them to 7 games in 2018.

Very similar to how the 2014 Spurs got pushed to 7 games by the geriatric Mavericks before beating the Heat by a record margin.

For Western Conference teams, the true test is sometime before the finals - not the Warriors fault that the 2018 Rockets was better comp.

I've always advocated for getting rid of conferences when it comes to the playoffs so that we didn't keep having to see Lebron get the shit beat out of him in the finals. This way, whatever suped up Lebron super team that makes it to the finals by beating scrubs gets eliminated earlier by a team that's better...which in 2018, every Western Conference team in the playoffs would've beaten the Cavs.

Shrug Life...

Lmao the rockets choked in that series like they usually do in every postseason matchup against the warriors.

They had the best chance to topple them as they were the top seed throughout the playoffs for having the best regular season record that year. As a matter of fact, they even led 3-2 in the wcf until cp3 went down and the rest became history when the warriors trampled them once again for the third straight time in 4 years.
