People really just don’t get how huge his popularity was back then. Even Shannon Sharpe had to admit no one else has really come close to it since.

His baseball stint was interesting though to say the least. It was covered pretty well in one of his books and there was a lot of resentment from some of the majors players who didn’t like that he basically made the team have a circus atmosphere, with fans selling out arenas just to see him rather than the team play

I think Frank Thomas in particular took issue with him

Yet he was atrocious in double A ball and stole someones spot due to selfish/delusional desires

He would've been the worst MLB player of all time by a huge margin, thankfully his .100 batting average in double A and multitude of errors in the outfield prevented him from ever going to the big leagues

Danny Ainge actually played in the MLB and was an All-American football, basketball, & baseball player in high school. Also beat MJ at golf the day before their game 2 meeting in '86. Did I mention Ainge is a superior GM?

MJ is obviously miles better than Ainge at basketball, everything else is Ainge.

Ainge also whooped MJ's ass the day MJ dropped 63 in the Celtics in 86. In the end, Ainge still had the final laugh.
