every great player built off the backs of other ones.

MJ bit a bunch of dudes from the 70s and 80s. midrange moves were at an all time high then.

Bro that speaks to MJ's originality, godly athleticism and genius. And Kobe's elite athleticism, and replicating skill set. At best Kobe was like 90% of Jordan. A cover band, poor man's derivative Jordan. Without the same level of physical gifts. And result? Closest thing to Jordan. 2nd best SG ever. And a top ten player ever. A slightly lesser version of the GOAT.

The fact that Kobe practically mastered another style is very impressive and underrated.

The only aspects Kobe has a case over Jordan is 3-point shooting and free throw shooting.

I can't knock Kobe for trying to replicate Jordan's moves. It's a sign of intelligence in a way. I guess you can say that Kobe's personality was that of someone who would try to get to the bottom of how things worked. A smart person on a mission to improve on something. This is beyond the average person. Always looking to improve on himself. Calling Jordan for advise, sees Jeff Van Gundy over there, goes up to him to ask him specific questions about a certain situation with the Knicks, etc, etc.

Having said that, this Michael Jordan was just not human.

I just realized that I said Kobe was without even thinking about it, rather than Kobe is.

Believe it or not, he actually is human. The fact that people call this team mate abusing athlete God says a lot about a certain type of basketball fan in general.
