That's what has always amused me about the player era stuff: players overlap. Jordan retired one year before LeBron's rookie year. Same thing with Russell and Kareem. Kareem and Wilt overlapped. Kareem and Hakeem, Ewing, overlapped. You can keep going down the list.

Funny Marion is shown. Marion was known as a good/great defender yet MJ was toying with him. He was beating him so badly that Majerle was tasked to defend him. Once gain, Majerle was known to be a good defender. He was strong, knew angles, had timing, positioning and was a far better athlete when he was younger.

Hell, he was a better athlete than Bowen ever was and perhaps even Battier.

One of the reasons I speak so confidently on what MJ could do today is because we've seen him compete vs today's players in tougher era.

He's competed vs many of today's top defenders and stars and killed them or locked them up at an old age no less.

From Marion, Kidd, Pierce, VC, Artest, Bowen, Battier, KG, Ruben Patterson, etc.
