That's actually a pretty solid list, at least for a Top 10 (Swap Malone and Wilt). It gets pretty wild after that though

It is odd. Kareem has 6 MVPs but has about as many MVP shares as 3x MVP Bird and less than 4x and 5x MVPs LeBron and Jordan.

But it doesn't take into account players that underperform in the playoffs like Harden that's the only real problem

MVP shares rewards consistent excellence as well. Many years MJ && LBJ were strong 2nd place and prob never out of top 5 voting like every single year.

Well it rewards strong regular season play and take nothing about the playoff.

We also have results like Derrick Rose over Clyde Drexer, Pippen, Tmac, etc.

Fair point, but as others have mentioned the top 10 is pretty solid but it gets a little wonky thereafter. I don't think any one measurable statistic is perfect but this one is pretty damn close.
