So we've learned the following recently:

T-Mac could've potentially played in Chicago with Jordan - this was actually known back then and Jordan nixed it anyway and probably would've retired if this went down so not as big of a what-if
T-Mac could've potentially played with the Lakers with Shaq and Kobe if Jerry West had his way, and they probably would've had to trade Eddie Jones
T-Mac could've potentially played with Sixers with AI if a trade for Larry Hughes went down

Add those 3 to what if T-Mac stayed in Toronto with Vince, what if Grant Hill was healthy in Orlando to play with T-Mac, and what if T-Mac and Yao could stay healthy in Houston.

If any one of those 6 things happened, hard to say he wouldn't have been a first round loser his whole career. Shit, even as a benchwarmer he was on the wrong end of the biggest shot in NBA history and was on the team that was closest to ever winning a championship without actually winning it.
