"Celtics 86 with Bird McHale Parish Walton is like having Lebron, AD and KD in the same team, that's the equivalent of that era..."

Damn this interview is full of great things. Please take some time to listen to it.

I would have to loved to see a Rockets vs Bulls finals.

I have the '86 Celtics #2 on my list, but having Bird, McHale, Parish, & Walton is not like having LeBron, KD, & AD.

Walton was past his prime and played 20 minutes off the bench, he won 6MOY, but nowhere near an All-star by that point. Parish in '86 was a solid All-Star player, nothing more. You can't compare that cast to 3 bonafide superstars.

1. 2017 Warriors
2. 1986 Celtics
3. 1996 Bulls

2019 Raptors = 2 DPOY (Gasol & Kawhi)

Serge Ibaka (3x 1st team all defense)
Kyle Lowry (6x all star)

Coach & GM (will probably go down as a hofer when its all said and done)
Fred Vanvleet(who know what he will become)
Pascal Siakam (who knows what he will become)
Danny Green ( 1x All NBA defensive team)

So slept on

2017 Warriors are the GOAT team.

KD and Steph were peak Shaq-level scorers in the playoffs (KD even higher honestly), plus one of the GOAT three point shooters/floor spacers in Klay, PLUS Draymond as DPOY and offensive swiss-army knife.

Then they had solid depth with experienced veterans who actually showed up come playoff time.

I am absolutely convinced they are the best team ever.

Aren't we forgetting something here? 2017 warriors wouldn't even go 12-0 entering that year's finals if not for zaza's dirty fouled tactic against kawhi.

Great interview but I think he meant the 87 Lakers. He spoke on the 86 Celtics and then said, "and then the Lakers right after that". Maybe I'm interpreting it wrong.

History won't care. Just like people don't know the Lakers swept the Spurs in 2001 with San Antonio missing their 2nd leading scorer. Or how the Bulls swept Orlando with Horace Grant not playing.

That sounds lame. Couldn't overlook it until now.

NO TEAM IN ANY SPORT FROM THE 80S is the best anything, baseball, soccer, football, basketball.

That 86 team of unalthetic jump shooters wouldn't even make the playoffs today.

3 best teams...Golden State, Golden State, Golden State...maybe the 2000 Lakers

Congratulations on the most ignorant post ever. That 86 team would destroy 99% of the current league.

I've got the

1996 Bulls
2017 Warriors
1986 Celtics
1983 Sixers

That Bulls teams was suffocating. The Warriors team was talented as well. Ans the Celtics team would destroy today's league, in my opinion.

Not only that, but those Lakers beat a basket case Blazer team that was falling apart at the seams (GM Bob Whitsitt should have been fired after that series, and the destruction of that team should have started), a Kings team without Bibby, and one of the worst teams ever to make a final in the 2001 Sixers.

Probably THE worst finals team ever.

No team dominated the NFL like the 1985 Bears.

Pretty sure the 80s Oilers with Gretzky and company would have something to say about that as well.

No 80’s team could hang with a modern team. Guess what? Mike Tyson couldn’t win a title today and the 60’s Packers couldn’t compete. It’s evolution. The Warriors and Cavs teams that were in the finals would beat every 80’s / 90’s nba team. Honestly, teams like the current Rockets would probably best those old teams. Keep trading 2 points for 3 over and over. That’s a great strategy! All the slow centers would be lost today. Teams today have multiple guys that can score 20 plus. Old teams had maybe 2. I don’t get how anyone can pick against the current NBA.

The Warriors maybe but that's not a product of athletic evolution as much as modern super-teaming which players didn't look to do in past eras. Michael Jordan could've quit and gone running to the Lakers by forcing a trade but you didn't do stuff like that back then. But LeBron's Heat lost to Dirk's Mavs. What is so special or more athletic about that squad versus the 80s Celtics or Lakers? Jason freaking Terry? That team made the Finals twice.

1986 Celtics would feast today because they had both the outside and the inside game. They had plenty of good far range shooters who would have practiced 3s like that of today they probably would have even been better today than before. Inside game wise its the best team ever not even close there.

Sounds like a perspective from a bandwagon fan.
