View Full Version : Bulls and Knicks made lowkey significant changes for the better this season

Bulls: Firing Forman and demoting Paxson, new front office which is what they've needed for like 20 years now

Knicks: Fired Fizdale, Steve Mills, and looks like Scott Perry is on his way out (or at least will be overriden by Leon Rose)

Every dog has its day people. the knicks gonna be contenders within 5 years. God willing.

The Knicks did draft Barrett which was the right move.
The Bulls have the talent to be competitive now assuming they stay healthy.

RJ is super, super raw and unpolished but the mentality and talent is there.

Hope he's putting in lots of work in this time off.

I can't get any real perspective of how good or bad RJ will be for the simple fact he is on the shitshow Knicks. Had he played his rookie year elsewhere would people even talk about him?

At this point, only god knows what will happen to the future of the bulls.

I honestly want to see them become somewhat relevant once again since the memorable d-rose days but the overhauling of the front office must prove to be effective first in establishing a fairly competent, playoff-bound team.

I am optimistic about the Bulls based on what I have read about Karnisovas and his track record in Denver.

The Knicks sucking is amusing but it would be good for the NBA to have the Knicks (as well as the Bulls) competitive again.

there are times where he sucks and there are times where he's okay and there are games where he's really good. Having watched almost all his games this year he was okay for the most part, shot poorly overall but the flashes of greatness there were enough to be encouraged.

missing a bunch of time didn't help him either.

The Bulls, yeah.

The Knicks...I wish.

lol The Bulls are doing absolutely nothing when they are built around Zach Lavine. He's the type of player you build around if you enjoy the lottery. The bulls need to find a trade partner for him and try and build around Lauri. He's much better than he showed this past season. The Bulls basically run nothing for him and just expect him to stand around on the corner. He'll probably get traded while the Bulls continue to run this Zach Lavine Train into the ground. I feel for you Bull fans.

Blimey. Until now, I never realized that building a new franchise success is only limited to its players when there are also other parts that are as equal (or even more important if one may think) to them, such as executive personnel and coaching staff.

Such a poor, lame insight if you're just going to think that only the players would contribute majority of that. Because no matter how great they may be, if the coach that they have is pretty awful, then the team is going nowhere towards their biggest goal.

And mind you, there are big reasons why they're undergoing a major overhaul of the front office rn. Sure, the aftereffects wouldn't be felt immediately but it's far better than to see them sitting on their asses all the time like what they've been doing so for years.

Bulls are likely going to draft James Wiseman. Lavine is a perfect 2nd scoring option.

We need to fire the egghead too

I'm hoping this is a step in the right direction but we shall see with Lauri I would rather him over Lavine. We will see which way mangement go

On a playoff team but on a contender you need him to be the third best player.

I'm hoping Lauri bounces back. So far the fit with WCJ isn't ideal but better coaching (which seriously needs to be addressed this offseason) might yield better results

I don't really like too many prospects in this draft but we can definitely get a player that can be another foundational piece to something great

Lavine I agree would make a great 3rd option on a contender as he currently is but his improvements since joining us has been stellar and with him feeling snubbed this year he might work even harder this offseason

I really hope Lauri wouldn't leave. Honestly, if only the bulls can make this duo competitive someday, they would be a formidable force to be reckoned with in the future. However, that ain't happening under boylen's watch. So the egghead must leave sooner than later.

Knicks gave up Porzingus for Dennis Smith JR.
Dolan is still there.
Not sure those changes (or lack of) are better.

I will commend them for fleecing the Clippers. Got Harkless and a pick for Morris the selfish chucker.

Why the hell would god care about the Knicks or any nba team?

Re: bulls, I could see lavine get traded to Denver at some point (if bulls try to rebuild , good relationship with AK, denver was rumored after Lavine this past trade deadline). He might be a good fit next to jokic, Murray and mpj since he could be a solid 3rd option.

Who the hell is replacing lavine assuming that scenario happens?

Well if they were rebuilding they aren’t going to have every position filled immediately.

Just because you're a nug stan rofl

So if the bulls rebuild you expect them to have every position solidly filled immediately?

I cannot figure out where you are going with this. There are teams that aren’t rebuilding that have made trades and still had holes on their roster.

I guess I shouldn’t expect much logic from posters than use “rofl”
My bad.

Lmao butthurt much? Stop assuming crap. I never countered that nor have any objections to it. I also don't believe the rebuild can go fill the lineup immediately. It takes time obviously.

What i was referring to was your post prior to it. I just said that you seem to believe that lavine will be sent to your fave team since you're a stan of it, regardless if it's because you think they will do it as per ak or not. Retard.

If the Bulls actually get Anthony Davis?

You don't have to build around Lavine. He's a very good scorer and dynamic. He can handle the ball, play minutes at the point and he's tall enough to play time at the 3 for stretches. Versatility, some handles, obviously freak of a jumper, with a jumper.

For example...compare him and Booker. I see the Suns potentially having more issue with Booker, as his Mamba Mentality is too strong for his game. As good as he is, he can't be using the ball the way he does and winning. He doesn't have that kind of game. Lavine appears to be a lot more willing to defer and play without the ball.

I don’t think you know what butthurt means. :oldlol:

I Said I could see it happening. Lavine has been rumored on the trade block, the bulls and nuggets have a relationship now and it was rumored we tried to get him at the deadline. Just some fun offseason thoughts while we wait (hope) for the season to come back.

Then you had to start crying about it. I didn’t even propose a deal and it bothered you.

But keep the insults coming. It’s what people do when they have no actual logic or argument to fall back on.

(Btw the idea that the bulls had no replacement for Lavine in a potential trade clearly bothered you so I like how you backtracked on that one)

Well, whatever makes you happy, whelp. You have no idea what you're talking about me since you have low iq. 💩

It's very clear that after i called you a nug stan, you obviously got butthurt and had to resort to ad hominem by saying you expect no logic from me because you couldn't take it. And am i wrong to call you one, judging by your very generic sounding username?

Also, even if they would acquire him someday, it doesn't mean your fave team gets to have a chip. There's obviously more interesting competitive teams in the west.

Just saying. You can go back crying again all day if ya want.
