40% say they will not feel safe out public until "long after" the coronavirus pandemic has ended. But the 16% of Americans who will NEVER feel safe out in public again are our weak link. These pathetic excuses for human beings need to be forever exiled to Greenland or just dropped off in the middle of the ocean to put them out of their misery now.

a lot of these polls depend significantly on how the question is phrased, but I tend to agree that people are overly afraid.
yet many of these people are not afraid of their current health issues... obesity, shit diet, no exercise, staring at glowing rectangles for 12+ hours/day, lacking sleep, but yeah, they don't feel safe outside because covid. :facepalm

Let them be afraid. Society benefits with more paranoid people because with them being overly preventative, then less flu and colds will be spread throughout the whole society.

42% of the nation is obese. So it fits perfectly.

What part of COVID19 isn't the influenza do you not get? While I understand the mortality rate might not be that much different (according to whom you might believe), flus rarely get so bad that they land a whole bunch of people in the hospital.

Most of us probably have and recovered or never showed any symptoms. It's best that we all get exposed to it so we can build up an immunity to it.

That's what a vaccine does.. Vaccine helps create herd immunity by exposing everyone who get the vaccine to the disease itself to build an immunity to it. Ofc, it's a dead virus/bacteria cells so you can't get the virus from it

Most people live regular lives with new antivirals that make it easy to keep your tcell above 400 And symptom free, big pharmaceuticals dream disease... so don’t expect them to hand out the cure from their vault anytime soon...
