Who do you think will win in a 7 game series? Would it be very close or not at all?

I was literally just watching film of this Magic team+95. I think 95 was a better team. 3 more losses, but better offense and went to the finals. 5.4 SRS for 96, 6.5 for 95.

Since I can't edit my above post, wanted to add..Lakers were the #5 offense and #1 defense. They had a stupid good 98 DRTG. They were dominant that year. People look at them as a somewhat flawed team because the Blazers and Kings gave them 7 game series, but those two teams are classic, great teams those years themselves, so it's nothing to be ashamed of.

Depends on which of his iteration there is more considered 'out of shape'.

The 2001 Lakers are a top five playoff team of all time.

I will take the teams that won rings.

dude shaq was with the lakers in 96 retard

96/97.

95/96 (96 in playoffs) he was in Orlando. Just as 2000 Lakers are 99/00.

Chill.

I'd take the team who won the championship and being coached by Phil Jackson.

I always thought Shaq's Magic team would be a legit contender in any season that unfortunately ran into Hakeem and the historic 72-10 Bulls. In '00, Shaq had no big even near his level other than Duncan but Duncan was injured before the playoff.

I was wondering if that '00 Lakers team really was better than his '95 or '96 Orlando team. If so, how much better.

the 96 Magic was a team that lacked primarily the 16-3pt jump shot defense, then 10-16ft. which allows players to set up iso plays. They could have used the Kobe defense, and sacked off on selected 3 point shots by percentages.

Shaq+Kobe+Horry+Rice+Phil Jackson? Sorry but the 1995-96 Magic don't stand a chance. Not to mention, that 1999-00 Lakers team is one of the best ever.
