Depends on mood. Enter Sandman is easily one of my least favorite Metallica songs though. Absolute garbage song writing compared to previous albums. The stuff learner guitar players and drum players learn. Have some class man.
Metallica-Master of Puppets
Megadeth-Tornado of Souls

My favorite not so popular tunes from Metallica are.
Disposable Hero's
No Remorse
Lepper Messiah
Not a fan of Megadeth. Mustain's voice is lame.

At the 2:38 mark of Four Horseman.... that's probably my favorite riff by Kirk.

Dave's not here.
He’s being a wiseass because they’re essentially the same song.
Mustaine wrote the main riff (and the solos Kirk ended up playing) when he was in Metallica. He also wrote the original lyrics which were about scoring some skeezy snatch in a mechanic shop. James and Lars hated them so they rewrote it with the Horsemen theme. After Dave got the boot and formed Megadeth, he ended up recording his version of the song and called it The Mechanix.
The Four Horsemen is The Mechanix with better lyrics and an added bridge section that rips off Sweet Home Alabama.

Joke aside Horsemen is one of my fav Metallica songs. So is Mechanix for Megadeth.
Couldn't tell what's the top 1 song of either band for me.

Metallica - Pretty much stuff from Ride The Lightning are fantastic. Though some of their covers like Die Die My Darling and Whiskey In a Jar were pretty good.
Megadeth - didn't listen to them much so can't say. That Dystopia song from their latest album was nice though.

Couldn't tell you the last time I actually sat through the entire Enter Sandman song. I must have heard that song on repeat so many times back in the 90's, that it's almost painful to listen to today. But it's still a great song albeit it's their most commercial hit and sadly, the song they are most known for.
Here's a rare goody from Dave and Co.

Speaking of Megadeth they fired David Elefson after he showed his ***** to a minor. And Jason Newstead turned down Mustaine's offer to get him in the band.

So I splurged last year and bought myself the reissued deluxe box versions of Ride the Lightning and And Justice For All.
The Justice box includes the first official vinyl release of Metallica's epic 1989 Seattle show from the Damaged Justice Tour that was included as a VHS in the Live Shit: Binge and Purge box set from the early 90s. It is absolute f*cking fire.

She isn't a minor though, she's an adult and she was into it with David E so I don't see the problem. Mustaine probably just wanted an excuse to fire Ellefson, they've had bad blood between them in the past.

Nice. Didn't want to drop 200€ on the box, but the Seattle concert is a great record.

Mustaine is a bigot POS, who used his christian believes to get rid of Ellefson. Just a pitiful individual.

While I don't agree with Ellefson leaving, it just doesn't look good and it's a business decision. Pretty sure Dave was pressured to part ways with David.

Nah Mustaine had a beef going on with him about his lifestyle(oh, the irony) and cited his beliefs on multiple occasions. Not even mad, I just think he should have been more upfront about it.

I'm really into A Secret Place (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPDAA83GN_A)". This is was actually my first Megadeth song. Hell of a strange place to start, but it's on the Woodstock '99 live (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klNLUYhW-KI) album (https://printsbery.com/invitations/wedding/boho), which was my introduction to much of the hard rock/heavy metal world.

I liked Sandman when it was first released, but oh my god, is it overplayed. I can't stand it now. I hear those opening chords and I'm stabbing for the radio button or telling Alexa NEXT! in a very loud voice.
I actually like Metallicas version of "Whiskey in the Jar". They do a nice job of taking a traditional Irish song and metalling the **** out of it.
