I am surprised that Kobe ranks so high. While he recorded only two top 2 finishes, he regularly placed in the top 5 during his prime.

Duncan had one of his worst years in 2006, Shaq was way past his prime at that point, Nash? Hell no. Only player you can make an argument for is Dirk, but LeBron was no worse than the 3rd best player in the world in 2006.

He was 2nd in MVP his 3rd and soon to be in his 17th year (possibly 1st but doubt he beats Giannis with the season suspension cutting off LeBron's momentum). Amazing.

I doubt it. He had a shot because there was a narrative building in his favor but the suspension ended it. Giannis is the best player in the league and on the best (RS) team. Hard for him to lose.
