View Full Version : Should I unfriend the person that unfriended me?
Walk on Water

I wish this wasn’t even a priority. But do you ever have someone that was sort of a friend maybe acquaintance from high school that unfriended you? I’m sure we all had it happen before. It has happened to me. Kinda bothered me. I was thinking of friending them again and unfriending as payback. One accepted my request instantly.
But now I’m wondering if I should unfriend that person. It doesn’t really make me feel better. But chances are that he’ll unfriend me again eventually. Should I do it first or just let it play out?
Then recently someone I knew in high school friended me. But he unfriended me a few years ago. So why do people add and delete people for no reason? It’s not like we even communicated.
Anyways I wish I wasn’t attached to Facebook. Like when you go on walks, you’re supposed to be taking a break from social media. But then it’s gotten to the point where I have to bring my selfie stick and not only take pics but record my walks and upload them edited with music. I got some good comments and they made me feel good. It’s hard for me to think about enjoying a walk without the idea of sharing it.
I wish things didn’t have to work this way. Sometimes I get anxiety checking my Facebook to see if I still have the same amount of friends.
One time I ran into my moms friend and she asked me why I’m not going on hikes anymore, since I hadn’t posted pics in a while. Things like that motivated me to post all my walks. That way nobody can ask me why I’m being lazy when I was just trying to enjoy it for myself.
I hate how I’m dependent on the site. It’s like if I didn’t record it, then people don’t think it even happened. I feel like it didn’t happen if I didn’t record it. Pics aren’t enough but I also need video.
It sucks though. I wish that I didn’t have such dependence on the social media site. I wish I didn’t have to worry about who unfriended me or whatever the case is.
And why do they accept my friend request if they deleted me in the first place? Why accept at all?
Also is it okay to not post my hikes for a while. I’ve had times in life where a relative asked why I’m not posting. And what do you do if you run into someone that unfriended you? Do you bring it up? Will they ever be honest?

Yes you should. The person wants to exile you from being friends moving forward.

That happened to me once, this girl unfriended me and I had no idea that she did, while we were still in the same class. I'm not big into myfacebook so only noticed by chance.
For girls it can be all sorts of reasons. 90% of the time it's bf related and they're deleting of the attractive guys from their FB. In this particular case I think the girl was intimidated by me, because of my high grades and overall confidence, and she seemed to be very introverted with low self esteem.
If female and they added you back after you sent them a friend's request it could mean that they had doubts, were hesitant to delete you in the first place. Again either they only deleted you because you intimidate them, or because the bf is out of the picture again.

Stop using Facebook for a while. Nothing beats real life communication. After not being on it for over a year I went on...Seen some posts by friends that were less than impressive. Checked who tried to add me...I had a couple of friends who deleted me years ago tried to re-add me. Accepted the requests but probably won't log on again any time soon. Not going to judge anyone over anything. It's just a terrible way to communicate compared to real life and can cause people to be concerned about things that aren't worth it. Things get taken out of context and a lot of things just seem so fake. Not to mention the spread of ignorance and false information. I really don't know why people seek attention on there. Your walks would probably be more enjoyable if you just focused on taking in your surroundings instead of hoping or worrying who is going to watch your videos?
The company is shady as **** in general anyway.
But seriously, start an argument with the people who deleted you. Get to the bottom of it! Make sure it's available for all your friends to see on there, perhaps tag every single one of your Facebook friends.

That was a very reasonable, sincere sounding post. I'm surprised since I assumed you were a young, perhaps 13 year old troll in the main NBA section, who is possibly wheelchair bound. Good advice.

We're going to have to get to the bottom of this. I'm relatively new to the Off the Court Lounge section, and long before I even knew who Walk on Water was people were saying that he was you. Personally I think Walk on Water doesn't have an alt, but why did people pick you? I know you wrote a book, and Walk on Water is a good writer. Is it because of this fact?

Everyone knows that you wrote a book. Are you claiming that you did not write a book?
