Avg athletic rank, 1 to 10:
For 60s guys is like a 4. Players smoked before, during after games. Had multi jobs, etc. Little money to be made = not taken seriously. The outlier 10 is Wilt.

For 90s guys is like a 5. Players still smoke and drink beers during games. Mechanics and grocery employees still in the league. Good money to be made = taken sorta seriously. The outlier 10 is MJ.

For 2010 guys is like a 8. They are all professionals with advanced technique and nutrition info. A lot of money to be made = taken very seriously. The outlier 11 is LBJ.

Wilt at 10 vs league of 4s
MJ at 10 vs league of 5s
LBJ at 11 vs league of 8s

Avg skill level by the years:

1960s = 4
1990s = 5
2010s = 8

So if you are a 10 (wilt,m j , lbj)

You will stick out more and be more domaneering in 1960s as a 10 then 2010s

This era only appears more athletic because its a league full of guards and undersized forwards

At the end of the day ill take the skilled above average power forwards and centers like KG, Dirk, Duncan, Ewing, Olajuwon, Shaq over Embiid, Jokic, and Hassan Whiteside anyday

Hell Tyson Chandler was an above average center in his prime he would pretty much be a top 10 player if he played today
