Chris Paul is doing just as fine. Maybe not playing defense as well, but someone will hold the team accountable I'm sure.

will Harden play defense if they hire Tibs (a defensive specialist)

Pretty good defender if the lazy bastard wants. Those 13 three's per game is going to be a thing of the past with Thibs i think. Thinking back, if Harden was 25/5/5 guy, he would've had a true shot at a title with westbrook or cp3 having more responsibility. D'antoni system is really designed for only 1 player to eat up all the stats, the rest have to be shooters or a pick and roll big. Never was a fan, but Harden sure loves this coach. Never complained lol.

He could average 30, sure, but not the numbers he's been averaging. And they'd be better for it.

Simple. He wouldn't be a scoring champion anymore.

...nothing. The offense the Rockets play isn't anything close to what was being played on the Suns. Rockets is iso iso iso iso. The front office would really need to back the coach to instill a more team oriented offense because you know Harden is going to bitch when he doesn't get to dribble dribble travel step back a dozen times a game.

Why did chris paul have to let him down so hard in 2018 though?

Thinking back, CP3 would have been perfect as simply the main ballhandler in d'antoni's system, how weird that he wasn't welcome anymore after trying to adjust to Harden.

Injuries happen. Regardless, they only won their 2nd and 3rd of that series BECAUSE OF CHRIS PAUL. He was the one making all the big plays and shots down the stretch while Harden was trying to chuck them out of it with his idiotic stepbacks. Paul had been the better and more important player in the series. It's no surprise they couldn't finish off the Warriors without him.

It somehow surprises me that james harden has been playing in the postseason a total of 10-straight times already.
