I am hopefully being too cynical but I suspect Shaq wouldn't feel this way if he wasn't worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Pretty sure the majority of players are willing to take the controlled risks to get those checks.

Theres literally a one in a million chance that a healthy 20-35 year old is gonna die from the coronavirus. They have a better chance of dying at home from falling in the bathroom or something.
