Because Lebron's a terrible defensive player. Made Iggy look like Tracy McGrady and made KD look like MJ.

Only one of those guys wasn't the best player on their team going into the Finals and he shouldn't have won the MVP anyway.

In what world did LeBron make Iggy look like T-Mac? He got the Finals MVP because he guarded LeBron. Every says he did a good job stopping LeBron despite him dropping 36/13/9.

Lebron shot terribly and stat-padded all those games, Iggy outplayed him when the Cavs had the chance to go up 3 - 1 at home. Iggy had his number in crunch time on both ends.

He was literally the only option on that team. :oldlol: He had to take almost every shot. Delly had a good game in G3 and had to go to the hospital for dehydration after the game. That was LeBron's 2nd option in 2015.

The Cavs are lucky to even get two games on the Warriors in those Finals, let alone going up 3-1. LeBron didn't have any other option to fall back on like Iggy did with Curry, Klay, Draymond, etc.

OP listed 3 top 20 all time players and Iggy who wouldve dominated the 90s

How many top 20 all timers did Jordan face at SG?

Peak defensive LeBron is clearly a better defensive player than peak defensive Kobe, but okay.

Because Lebron doesn't have that Jordan killer mentality, where he wants to embarrass and show the world that their opponent cannot be compared to him. It is what it is. Lebron is just too kind of a guy. If Lebron had Jordan's mentality then the only thing on his mind would be to destroy Durant, Dirk, and even players like Jason Terry for what they were doing to him. It simply eliminates him from any sort of GOAT debate.

If Curry had Lebron's mentality then the only thing on his mind would be to destroy Durant, Dirk, and even players like Jason Terry for what they were doing to him AND FINKALLY WIN FMVP. It simply eliminates him from any sort of GOAT debate.

Do you ever say anything else? Every time I see you post it's this same damn rhetoric. Find a new discussion point already. Killer mentality, killer mentality, killer mentality, god damn. Come up with something new.

I've only said that the past couple of days because LeCroix was going on and on about how the only thing that Jordan has over Lebron are his rings, and I started going into detail, with the flu game, last 3 plays as a Bull, with a hobbled Pippen, and how that one aspect of Jordan's personality prevented the series from going 7 games, and thus giving the other team a higher chance of beating the Bulls. That's the difference between being 6-6 and 6-5, or 6-4. In contrast to Lebron, who's just a normal, or above normal human, would sometimes get anxiety, and visibly quit in elimination games, giving the opponent another opportunity. Normally I talked about other stuff.

But either way, if something is the truth should one not mentioned it because they mentioned it before? That would only be possible if someone cared less about the truth and more about hating the players, where eventually all the truthful stuff are mentioned and what's left are lies, or something irreverent, like Lebron's bow leggedness or something. I mean we've seen it time and time again, Jordan would go on a mission to destroy whoever he's being compared to. It is what it is. In a similar situation he would not be getting outplayed, out worked by anyone. Lebron, and pretty much everybody else does not have that. The question was asked, I gave part of the reason. Anxiety is a real human thing, especially for someone under as much pressure as Lebron.

How is he "clearly better" on defense? Kobe's definitely better as an on-ball defender & when it comes to full court pressing. Lebron's a great help defender.

Kobe lost Game 1 at home, where Shaq had 44/20.. Why?

Damn, the 76ers really took it to the Lakers in the those first two games in LA.

Won game 1 and then it took huge performances from Kobe and Shaq to squeak out a 9 point win in game 2.

Kobe - 31/8/6/2/2
Shaq - 28/20/9/1/8 :wtf::biggums:

Because Lebron is not a good man defender. He gets a sexy chasedown block once in a while and people think that means he can play D.

When have you ever seen or heard of Lebron locking someone up? He doesnt even take the tough covers most of the time. He runs from Durant lol

2015 was crazy. Dude shot like 25% outside of 3 feet when guarded 1vs1 against a beyond-his-prime Iggy.

25%. Crazy stuff for a dude of Lebron's caliber.

KD absolutely snatched Lebron's soul from his chest in both game 3s in back to back years.

This is while making him look like a D-Leaguer on defense. Even Patrick McCaw got some buckets against Lebron.

 dude shot worse than Allen Iverson and Bron is 6’9” 275+ in the modern era. :lol

Then the media hyped it up like it was because of Iguodala and not Bron being a choking stiff. :oldlol:

Obviously extreme points on, just about, all ends.

Don't think Kawhi was the Spurs' best player going in tho, nor do I think he was the FMVP.

LeBron at his best was certainly a great defender. Nothing to do with chase down blocks. Plays like a whirlwind. Should get more credit for the technical aspect of that. Tho he doesn't always play defense. Also, he can rotate man-to-man throughout a game, for stretches. He's not a lockdown man defender, but that's just one way to play defense.

With the modified lineup of the dubs after game 3, the cavs never maintained their series lead anymore as they dropped the next three games en route to another finals defeat.

Lol. Wtf is this. Nah. He roams the paint for steals and boards without guarding anyone. That's why he's always on less active players. Simple.

iggy is an ok defender but he didnt stop lebron lebron stopped himself. Iggy literally gave him the open mid range and lebron just wasnt confident taking it as usual throughout his career.

And the 36 points isnt impressive given his efficiency. Literally any all star level scorer could qverage 36 points on 39% shooting or whatever it was.

No he was guarding him perfectly, his defensive technique was in full view. You're describing Diaw. Iggy and Kawhi gave him nothing.
