IDK man. Jordan stans use the same tactical approach in conversation. Usually ending up in insulting someone's character and resorts to calling them a Jordan hater. I've yet to be in a open discussion where you can discuss freely that other basketball players make a case for GOAT. ESPECIALLY when it comes to Lebron. To me they are equally subjective. Literally the only 2 topics where you HAVE to bite your tongue if you disagree

In a social setting which group is more silenced? There are close minded people in any topic. Trump haters are the most extreme in terms of silencing everyone around them.

In Jordan's case, you have a large sample size of experts, with higher IQs than the general population all saying that Jordan is the GOAT, so that has the strong element of truth. From Jeff Van Gundy who has reasons to hate him, Bobby Knight, Larry Bird, Hubie Brown, players that have played in today's era and the past, Vince Carter, Ray Allen, Kobe Bryant. We're talking about hundreds of coaches and players. So there's a strong element of truth in the Jordan position. For the record today Kendrick Perkins picked Lebron as the GOAT. So Lebron does have people in his camp, but it's just not nearly as much as Jordan.

Also for the record, Lebron himself probably thinks Jordan is the GOAT.

But there is a reason why FOX News dominates ratings in a way left wing outlets never did. On average, conservative leaning people care more about being informed. The left wing base, predominantly students, low income minorities, and people with unusual sexual orientations, do not follow current events, nor american history, etc as closely. That is a fact.

Of course there is ignorance on both sides, but it isnt congruent.

I don't know, I feel that I answered the question of who is more closed minded between the two groups. The Trump haters just blindly follow ideology no matter what. If Trump bans flights from China, then he's being racist, a few months later it's like why didn't he close the country earlier. That's generally how it is, because for the most part people are dumb. That includes sports fans. So I completely eliminated them, and focused on people who are hundreds, thousands of times more qualified to properly judge, a sample from a population whose opinions would better represent the true reality.

So looking at things in that manner, who is more close minded? My conclusion is the Trump haters.

You can discuss:

Messi vs Ronaldo
Gretzky vs Lemeuix
Djoko vs Federer
and generally have intelligent rational discussion. You can't with a Jordan stan. Same with trying to discuss Trump.
