NBAdraftnet compared him to a young Kenyon Martin/Shawn Marion hyrid with better 3 points shooting. He posted 20.2 ppg, 7.2 rpg in his sophomore year in college. Obi was measured at 6'9 with a 7'2 wingspan. And a legit 230 lbs. He just recently won the Karl Malone Award in College. Do you think he'll immediately make an impact in his rookie season? He shot 41.7 from 3 points range in his 2 years in college.

He's also a very good low post scorer. I saw some old school Karl Malone moves in his highlights. Looks like a very strong player in college. He's on the Washington Wizards draft radar. The scouts are saying he's nba ready.

Looks good as in shawn marion like career with better shooting style? Surprised he was not mentioned more with his athleticism and size.

But the best thing about Marion was that he was a stud defender across multiple positions. I didn't watch enough Dayton to know if that's the case with Obi.

The Wolves are now projected to draft him as the 3rd overall pick.

Maybe he’ll make the bench on the knicks if he’s lucky
