When I joined ISH 6 years ago, I was definitely a different person. That was my first time joining an actual basketball forum
I remember when I first got here, I wanted to be liked and I tried hard to fit in. I wanted to be viewed as a great poster. Back when we had the BTE running, I would post constantly just like the other "vets" in there. I wanted them to know who I was by participating in literally every conversation. I also made sure I started every single Rockets game thread.
I thought the guys with full rep were the top dogs, the kings of the forum, and once I had full rep I remember being ecstatic thinking I was finally one of them. I finished my first year on ISH with over 10,000 posts. I know, crazy right?
I also remember being easily triggered and getting mad over silly arguments, most notably with Milbuck and JohnFreeman :oldlol:
Now, I don't really care if im liked or not as a poster. I post what I want and share my opinions, and if someone has a problem with what I say then fine. We'll have a mature basketball discussion then
Here's for the Jan 2014 boys

I changed by not changing at all. Small town predicts my fate. Perhaps that’s what... no one wants to see...

I used to hang out more in the main NBA forum. I was and still am considered one of the better posters there, according to some.
It's not me saying, people say this. I'm a great poster.
The major difference is that now I joke around a little more, starting around a year ago when RRR3 attacked me out of nowhere because I wasn't as pro Lebron anymore. Believe it or not, even though RRR3 has been here since 2011, I had no idea who he was. I never pay attention to posters, mostly recognized people by their avatar. But it got me started on goofing on RRR3, though I stopped because his bullying has to stop already. And mix that with the Wheels era, with the wheelchair jokes just writing themselves. And then Manny98 and his dirty keyboard. It changed me and made me more I don't know.
I remember I once ended a post by saying, "Lebron Ball is as useless as your legs" referring to the Wheels account Dray n Klay. And 3ball was like :O that I said that because my posts are usually so respectable.
I used to hang out more in the main NBA forum. Now I mostly post in the OTC on my Walk on Water alt.

Lol. I joined when I was 16-17 now I'm 27-28. I was browsing the forums before I registered.
There was a lot of changes. I'd stumble upon many of my posts and couldn't believe I posted that. I miss the BTE.
I was 18 when I joined ISH and am now 27. I definitely became much less of a troll and more educated about basketball over the years, but if someone is being a shitty troll I will troll them back :lol I also was solely a LeBron stan (well T-Mac too but he was already a role player by the time I joined ISH and no one talked bout him) when I started here but I continued to root for the Heat after LeBron went back to Cleveland. Still root for LBJ too of course.

I've learned how to create viruses in my base in Wuhan and targeted several Insidehoops members to test my experiments

You know my style. Or like you called it schtick. You know full well that I'm not Walk on Water. But you find playing along with it entertaining so it's fine.
For the record, I do not care that highwhey thinks I'm Walk on Water. In many ways it's a compliment, with his honesty and intellectual curiosity and all.

Well when I first joined ISH in December 2014, I was only 17. Now im 22 about to turn 23 in a few months.
Since then I've grown pretty confident in the real world, and get laid more. I'm more passionate about my hobbies, social life, and my education. On ISH I don't think I've really changed my posting style all that much. I've never given a **** about what I post here

That's what I always say about ISH, there might be a lot of trolling, low intelligence, but even such people learn a lot ahere, even if there knowledge is still very flawed. Manny98's basketball IQ > than your average basketball fan out in the public. Not that I'm saying that Manny is or was one of those low intelligence ISHers. He's improving.
of course.
i remember some quote, and i'm paraphrasing..... "if you're still the same person from 10 years ago, you wasted 10 years."
