99% of FMVP goes to highest game score on winning team, only time it didnt happen is 3 that i know of:

worthy over magic (1988) (16.6 vs 24.4) worthy was 7.8 less than magic
iggy over curry (2015) (13.6 vs 17.9) iggy was 4.3 less than curry
pierce over allen (2008) (15.6 vs 16.7) pierce was 1.1 less than allen

worthy over magic is greatest tragic swap (1980 is debatable but tehre are circumstances)

1980 was robbery. Kareem won the FMVP vote but CBS didn't want to hand the award to an empty chair so people changed their votes to Magic. One of the journalists who had a vote admitted this years later to clear his conscience.

yeah i think magic and kareem should both have 3

BUT the problme with 1980 is that magic did play game 6 out of his mind, top 5 finals performance ever so that is what makes it tough

Pierce had a 6 point game in Game 3 shooting 14% I highly doubt you can find me any other player winning FMVP having a such lousy game as that

Ray was insanely efficient, 1.5 points less but 51/52/87 shooting as opposed to Pierce's 43/40/83
