The head of the Florida public information portal that lists the number of coronavirus casualties and cases claims she was ousted from the project for refusing to censor the dismal data.
Rebekah Jones said the responsibility for updating the COVID-19 Data and Surveillance Dashboard was taken from her office on May 5 and, in an email first obtained by the newspaper Florida Today, she questioned the state Department of Health’s pledge to maintain “accessibility and transparency.”

The lack of transparency behind the coronavirus stats is very concerning news. Politicians and the government should not be able to manipulate coronavirus data to prematurely lift a lockdown which leads to even more deaths. In fact, if it's actually safe to lift the lockdown, there should be data which backs that approach. Let me guess, the data doesn't support it so they want to cover it up.
There was also a report of 17 states still having coronavirus cases and deaths on the uptrend yet basically are being forced to reopen prematurely against their will. Shades of the Big Brother here. Damn shame hundreds of thousands of people will lose their lives because of this.
