Which would you choose if you were givin' those options right now?

You're not automatically dying at age 80, just that you'll at least live to that age

I'd take the cash and live it up while I can.

It’s a weird question because “guaranteed life” creates unnatural paradoxes. Can I skydive without a parachute and live?

If I rob a brinks truck (the one headed to IT’s house) can I just absorb every bullet that’s hurled at me as I flee?

Like how does this guarantee work...?

$2m isn't all that much over a course of like 10, 15, 20 years.

2 million easy. My grandfathers died in their 70s but one smoked and drank his entire life. The other had diabetes and was overweight as an older man.

I figure I can avoid both of those things and hit 80.

2M buys one improvement in quality of life
80 years of life buys one quantity with questionable quality of life

Seems like a no brainer.

Give me the money. I imagine life is boring as shit after 60.

2 million tax free to invest and manage at my current age for a more assured quality of life to whatever age I get to, or a guaranteed life cycle of 80 years with all the potential financial hurdles I can't foresee? Gimme the cash and I'll take my chances. Most people are not likely to earn that much in their lifetimes across 40 years of work, much less have it at their disposal to do as they wish with it.

What does that 80 year life entail? Is this a comparison to what the average joe does? 2 million might just end up in you living until 80 with the wrong decisions.

If you can't flip 2 mil to last you your whole life, you have issues.

If you can't make $2 million on your own, you must be a retard

Not even close. You can be lazy or just not interested in school or soulless jobs, or not have the stomach to become a gangster.

2 million. Quality of life improves. I'm 27-28 now and all 4 of my grandparents are still alive in their late 70's. I think I'll be fine.

Definitely $2 million. Not enough to quit my job but enough to make life considerably easier. My grandmothers are both in their 80s and their quality of life sucks.
